Fwiw I've run Toyo ATs for many years. First couple of sets were made in Japan and were great. About 5yrs ago I ended up with a set of four that were made in China. They suffered internal failure within 10k miles. Replaced with Japanese toyos and no troubles since. I couldn't tell a difference until the Chinese ones failed (one got a big sidewall bubble and two had belts break making them go egg shaped). Not Falkens but maybe relevant data point on Chinese rubber.
All truck size toyos are now made in Georgia. I have run at3 and good tire but i like the toyo RT better. Thanks for the heads up. If these toyos say made in china, I wont accept them.
Glad to hear that. ThanksAll truck size toyos are now made in Georgia. I have run at3 and good tire but i like the toyo RT better.
Very interesting hard stance on accepting zero chinese / foreign components. Thanks for the heads up. If these toyos say made in china, I wont accept them.
I said in my first post " I know it's hard to buy 100% American if not impossible ". Never said anything about foreign components.Very interesting hard stance on accepting zero chinese / foreign components.
I have bad news for you if you think that RAM of yours is stuffed full of components made in America..
Actually, same with the phone or laptop your using lol.
I think this has improved in the last year. My tire shop said they have balanced a few sets of 37's (including mine) with minimal issues. I had more problems with my 35" coopers.Falken wildpeaks are notorious for being hard to balance and out of round. Take a gander at the Yokohama g03. Much better mt tire.
ditto, if given a choice I will always choose USA. while not always possible when it is that is the way I go.I said in my first post " I know it's hard to buy 100% American if not impossible ". Never said anything about foreign components.
I want to find a set of mt baja bosses in the new size 255/85-17 a really skinny 35” tire.Look at the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT and AT tires. US tire. Strong and quite due to the tread design used. Great rubber compound. Great wet traction. Many sizes of the AT are 3-peak snow rated. I had two sets of Falken AT3Ws on Jeep and a truck and loved them. I like the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss even more!
