Got in the truck this morning and noticed my driver's side step moving and making a noise I didn't like. Pulled it into the shop and discoverd that all of the bolts were loose to the point I could unscrew 3 of them with my fingers. Wanted to let everybody know to check their step bolts.

Colum shifter bolt, fuses, grounds, now power steps. Ugh.
Hope I don't run into those kind of problems, mine was easy to fix. Going to try and find some black nylon washers to put under the steel ones because I can see where the paint got chewed up from the initial install, some loctite and hopefully that's all the problems I have

Mine started feeling loose, once it stops raining I'll crawl under there a check it out.

2021 mega cab - checked all the bolts - there are 8 on the “outside” like the pic in the post above. There are also 8 on the “inside” under the truck…

2 of the outside ones were “not tight” but not loose.. all the rest were/are good.

Thanks for the heads up! Didn't even think to look for more bolts, was wondering how 4 tiny little bolts was holding my fat azz up.
Hope they haven't rattled out by now given how loose some of mine were.
