Probably should let you all know there's now a 6th Gen Ram!

About

Welcome to the group for true 6th Gen Ram Cummins owners — the 2025+ Ram 2500 & 3500 Heavy Duty trucks that are now officially on the road.
Whether you already own one or are researching before buying, this community covers:
• Real-world driving impressions
• Maintenance & service intervals
• Cummins performance and reliability
• Towing setups & work-use feedback
• Known issues, fixes, and upgrades
These are not 5th Gen trucks — this is the next generation of Ram Heavy Duty, and this group exists to support the owners who run them.

Is the 6th gen in the room with us?

My 24 had a 6th gen cab, motor and trans it appears - just not the ugly grill.
I'm guessing yours is a gasser, as the 2025 diesel engine is significantly updated and the transmission is brand new...

Honestly since they're chasing all different gremlins with the different engine and transmission I'd rather let them start an entirely new log and record. Call it a 6th or 20th but not a 4.5/5.

Until RAM updates the cab, there's no telling what it's going to be. If it's the same cab as the current 1500 DT, which will already be ~8 years old, then surely 5th gen and platform codes will roll ahead one alphanumeric. Even if they end up with an all new cab design by 27/28 rollout, IMHO it will still be "5th gen" as I don't see them just skipping/dropping 5th gen. Which means there will still be a disconnect between the 1500 and HD gens.
