Hi all , we have had our 2020 ram 1500 (petrol) from new. Absolutely love it!!
The left side manifold cracked and the wonderful ram people replaced it under warranty for us . Problem is now the other side has cracked too. A friend suggested we have a set of extractors manufactured to replace them. We don’t gave snow here but can have regular minus 6 degrees celsius mornings that we have to tow a horse float in. I’m wondering if anyone can offer any suggestions for or against this idea please? Thanks all so very much for any help you may offer.

Extractors manufactured? That makes no sense. If you mean headers well you can buy them online no need for having a set made. Your ambient Temperature/ weather makes no difference on this subject…

Also just an FYI this is an HD ram forum its meant for 2500+ trucks you would likely be in better hands on other forums which are more geared to the 1500 series trucks as the heavy duty trucks are not the same.

Oops my bad. Sorry! Thanks for your help anyway. I don’t know what headers are so I’ll have a look. Cheers

Poster is not in the US. "Extractor" is an Aussie term for headers.

There are a number of good header manufacturers out there, and I'm sure some must ship to Australia. You can get them with catted Y-pipes or no cats, depending on if emissions compliance is required. If you go that route, I would recommend a good computer tune to go with it.
