I just cant believe it's so hard to find a v band clamp.
Ok, I go to the parts store to buy a v band clamp for the front of my turbo on a 2004 Ram with the 5.9 Cummins.
The one they gave me wouldn't fit.
I go back, they say that's the right one.
No results.
I call every parts store I can think of and they want to sell me the same clamp.
Last effort I order one from the Dodge Dealer. When it arrives, the guy says that will be $73 and change! Mind you this a 3.5 inch v band clamp for the front of my turbo. Part number 5159965AA..
Then I notice the clamp doesn't come with the nut to tighten the clamp.
The parts guy says that's extra, he'll have to order it from Atlanta and that will be another $7 and change.
I told him to keep it. I was so out raged I couldn't see straight.
I just hope others haven't had this happen to them.
Thoughts?

Summit shows it for $53.99. It may be less at Cummins. Geno's Garage shows them for $22.95.

I may have found one at NAPA in Mcminnville, Tn. $30 and change.
We'll see Monday.
Thanks for the tips.
Just couldn't stomach getting ripped off at a Dodge dealer.

04 could be an 04.5 HO?

Not sure, but perhaps it's a different size than the first one you got?

Embarrassingly, I had on 04.5 HO and I'm not sure what size clamp it was when I installed a Banks e-brake.
