Headed out to work this morning and 10 minutes into my drive the reign came on and within 30 seconds another message came on the screen. Exhaust Filter Full power reduced see dealer.
Drove to dealer in Elizabethtown Ky and they cannot get this in till March 12. But tells me not to drive it much that it will go into limp mode??? WTH This is my only truck which is my work truck.
2022 Ram Limited 2500 36627 miles.
Any recommendations?

Well I do have a obd 2 scanner but just saw that you cant go to port you have to go in thru taking gauge panel off and having a different pigtail.

mrat240,

Hello, welcome to the forum. In May of 2023 the entire DPF was replaced under warranty, I had 26k on my 2022 3500, Laramie, SO, CC, 4x4, SB. Mine did the same thing; regen, DPF full, reduced power, see dealer. I was able to get mine in in short order so total limp mode was not seen. However it took two weeks to get mine done and back to me. For you two months, sorry brother, I would find another dealer. I am going through some other bs with regens that I am posting about in a different thread.

Be safe,
Randy

Interesting, thanks for that response. I was able to plug under steering wheel and get some info a few codes P242F P203F . I had read in a search that I might be able to get truck into reign mode by driving and I did. Took off for a ride down the interstate and 45 minutes later the filter was clean and know more codes. I know they will be back but for know they are gone.

The next closest dealer is over an hour away. The very reason I went with this dealership. They had 5 mechanics at the time. Oh how times are changing!!!

Hopefully you are now clean. Others have suggested driving habits that might prevent this, at least on truck that are operating normally and don't have a problem going on with system. But many regen issues seem to be caused by flaws in the system that are hard to diagnose and fix.

As far as your dealer, I can sympathize. This is where the Ram dealer network seems to be heading in places other than maybe large urban areas. We have a local dealer, another dealer 35 minutes away and then another just over an hour. The local dealership is owned by a huge national conglomerate headquartered here. They have purchased the other two dealerships, 35 minutes and an hour away. So now the local dealership is run on a shoestring service wise. If you are under warranty, it can take weeks or months just to get an issue evaluated because they know you are stuck with them. I have heard full fare customers get in faster, but I don't know that for sure. Even if you do try to contact their other dealerships they won't interact with you because they can see that you are supposedly a customer of your local location. There is still an independent dealer about 1-1/2 hours from here that seems to give better customer service, but who can be making numerous 1-1/2 hour trips for a service issue!?
