For the most part yes but not always… you could tune the truck and get the added bonus of the EB staying onDoes anyone know if this will work on a 2020 3500 with factory brake controller? To keep the exhaust brake automatically on when mimicking trailer plugged in…??

So what makes it work for the most part but not always? Not sure i am wanting to tune. What is all involved in tuning? If its heavy $$ to just make the EB automatic on, I'll just keep pressing button... I do notice when trailer hooked up and plugged in, EB is auto on...For the most part yes but not always… you could tune the truck and get the added bonus of the EB staying on
So, does the connection between the brake signal and ground need to be a resistor and why? Couldn’t it just be jumped with a hardwire? It will keep it on but also disable your rear park sense if you have them,

AH gotcha... but the brake control adjustment must be set to zero and will it still show a load at zero? The brake controller needs to see a "load" not a dead short.

Its a crap shoot whether the EB will stay on sometimes it does sometimes it does not in my experience leaving my trailers connected before the tune.So what makes it work for the most part but not always? Ok. Thank you all for insight! Fingers crossed wish me luck Imna find a resistor and wire it and hope this works!!!
Amazon has the resistors cheap for a pack of 2 you can do the whole project for under 30$ CADOk. Thank you all for insight! Fingers crossed wish me luck Imna find a resistor and wire it and hope this works!!!
Ok. So, I can tune and leave everything stock? And still gain power & mileage? Its a crap shoot whether the EB will stay on sometimes it does sometimes it does not in my experience leaving my trailers connected before the tune.
Tunes are 1500$+CAD and worth it for the millage and extra power but if you are just wanting the EB to stay on you are looking at your best option price wise. But you do loose the park sense unfortunately
Excellent yes I got the plug and have Amazon resistors ready to purchase. 24$$ lolAmazon has the resistors cheap for a pack of 2 you can do the whole project for under 30$ CAD
Yes sir there are lots of emmision on tunes, calibrated power, CCS tuning. And othersOk. So, I can tune and leave everything stock? And still gain power & mileage?
Excellent!!!! I am intrigued… but I do have a 150k mile extended warranty. Will that tune void ALL warranty’s bumper to bumper & and all powertrain? I have considered this option but would have to register in montana or AZ. I have that option if I decide to delete all emissionsYes sir there are lots of emmision on tunes, calibrated power, CCS tuning. And others
Calibrated power has been doing emissions on tunes the longest and they do great stuff
You would void most of the powertrain, if you dont need the extra power currently and have no emissions issues i would wait for the warranty to be upExcellent!!!! If you dial the brake gain down to 0, you don't need a 10W resistor. I built one with (IIRC) a 3 watt metal film.
IIRC= if I remember correctlyOk.. I jumped the two circuits, made sure gain was to zero and there was no change whatsoever after several start ups and stops..
what is IIRC and how is that fabbed?
Yes absolutely correct terminals.IIRC= if I remember correctly
Up you gain to .5 and are you sure you are on the brake and ground pin in the plug they are right next to each other will be labeled blue and white on the inside next to the terminals
