Evidence of ACC

You have produced absolutely no hard evidence that your truck EVER had ACC apart from you claim is your memory. Members on here have produced lots of hard evidence you have NOT. My suggestion is quit wasting members time arguing the obvious. Find a lawyer and move on. What you seek is not here.

dhawker,

I accept your apology for quite understating having your 2022 serviced only on one occassion at a local dealer versus your correction of having it serviced a few times, but then you went on to mention independent repair shops. Not certain if you were at independent repair shops prior to just noticing it missing when you weren't driving it much. Maybe just a few times too it went to a few independent repair shops? It no longer matters. When key details are intentionally or not omitted it didn't help your case since it all becomes subjective facts to the people trying to understand it. That leaves the VIN information as the hard fact.
I’ve only had it serviced at the dealer I mentioned. Sorry some of this thread gets partial information so hard to track. I was mentioning that I know some independent auto shops that have been crooked in their business. So I know this kind of stuff can happen. There are some shady seeming folks at this dealer as well. And as I have stated, I work in manufacturing and I know for a fact that the build sheets are not always accurate. Human error can come into play. In this case this truck was originally custom ordered so the build sheet process was not standard protocol either. I’m just trying to figure out if they only took pieces of what I had or all of it. Anything left behind is what I will take to the proper authorities and corporate as evidence for some kind of retribution.

Do you have this?

"Custom Ordered" is just a factory order, many of us here did just that. EVERYTHING the plant puts on the truck is shown on the build sheet, and/or is listed as standard equipment in the build guide (brochure).

Without the build sheet for the VIN showing ACC, you’re probably gonna be **** out of luck pursuing any sort of action here.

After reading this thread the word absurd comes to mind. Absurd: utterly or obviously senseless, illogical, or untrue; contrary to all reason or common sense; laughably foolish or false. an absurd explanation. Synonyms: nonsensical, ludicrous, silly, irrational.

Brutal_HO: I'm sure for those who know they know, but for those of us (present company included)that don't have one what piece of the ACC is this?

Steering gear with torque overlay module. Required for lane sense. Also comes in handy if you wan to add comma.ai to your truck.

It's the item in the quote of an unrelated post made by @Jimmy07 the OP used to start this absurd thread... :-)

Thank you, I didn't know what it was but i knew i didn't have it, yeah no lane assist here

There's a part number tag on the steering gear that matches the type. If you lay under the truck and look from the pitman arm back towards the driver position, you can see the aluminum (silver) body torque overlay bolted to the top of the (black) steering gear assembly.

This is from a 2020 with ACC/Lane Sense and cross references to a steering gear with torque overlay. I expect the lower intermediate shaft (or one of them) would also be different but I'm done putting any more effort into this clownshow.

I have some closure on this. So for those interested especially the doubters, make sure when you go into your dealer, you take pictures and video inside and out. I brought this situation up with stellantis and they did their own research and wrote me a $4k+ check. I have a camera mounted on my rear view mirror. This was most likely the smoking gun. That is not needed for anything unless you have adaptive cruise or other parts in that category. I’m hammering the dealer with bad reviews to warn others.

So they actually stole your steering wheel with the acc controls? And Ram paid you? Not the dealer? Wow

I a still not convinced. The build sheet showed NO ACC...

SO a dealership stole a steering wheel, the steering gear/overlay torque module and the camera off your windshield and replaced said camera with an auto high beam camera(per your picture). Then they cleared the ACC from you body control module as to not throw any error codes...???

Na, brother you got a MOPAR warranty refund right after purchasing it(cash purchase I suspect).

Please attach the letter form FCA stating they are issuing a refund.....

LOL
