Engine Oil enquiry based on the region where i live

and i even told them at the dealer i would pay upfront to order me a Cummins RAM from the factory and i will wait, they unfortunately denied, and i believe the reason is that they don't have trained technicians on the diesel trucks here ! only gas, although if they did order me one rhis would be my 4th RAM through them‍♂️ anyways i got it myself
It may never cause him a problem but it could be a potential warranty issue .

Back in the 70's, when I was a teen, I would disassemble engines that were to be rebuilt, for the owner of the shop. A 327 had sludge so bad built up over the lifters you could barely them when I removed the valve covers. He explained to me that was from running non detergent oil and longer oil change intervals. I remember that, every time I think about extending the oil change on engines. Our Toyota Highlander is every 10K miles, and I still do 5K intervals.

What happened to the standard 3K mile Heavy Duty, and 5K mile Light Duty cycles, engine oil change intervals?
50 years of technological advances in additive packages and filtration . Millions of gallons of oil would be wasted using those change intervals today , for no positive benefit.

Frequent oil changes is not wasted today, it is recycled and refined for other uses, its only money waisted for piece of mind.

I changed Both Oil & Fuel filters every 10,000. Simple jobs & easy to remember when needed!
