Trying to understand how this works. So Ram Site is showing a specific 2500
Limited, on a dealer lot, that I’m interested in as discounted from MSRP of $84475 to $74757, as part of the new Employee Pricing Discount+ of $9718 or 12%. The dealer had been advertising that vehicle, before employee pricing with a dealer discount of $7,000.
I called back thinking I would get the prior dealer discount in addition to the Ram (manufacture discount ) dealer said NO. The price is the newly Ram website advertised $74757. Disappointed.

You only get the biggest discount between the two. On the factory invoice sheet, you get the msrp price, the invoice price, the "friends and family" price, and the "employee" price. They are discounted in that order (lowest discount to highest). The dealer discount you are seeing is most likely the discount for invoice pricing.

do not forget to get the $1500 bonus offer. See the orders thread for that.

Thanks, for the help.
.I’m seeing people getting 12%, pre coupon on 2021 orders. So the Employee Pricing on a 2020 is not worth it, for a year old model, that’s not exactly what I wanted.

Thanks, for the help.

12% is the standard to shoot for any time of the year.

I got 12% back in September during low inventory Rona. Dealers will give up the same amount of money all year long, they just advertise differing prices throughout the year to pitch a "sale". Some volume dealers stay pretty consistent all year long if you can find them.

If you're looking to get a new truck and aren't quite ready, don't impulse a 2020. You can get a 21 in March for 12% off too.

This is where you can try to negotiate with the dealer. What you have to remember is if you don't get it in writing from your dealer, the "sale" might be different once the ordered truck gets to the dealer lot. The fine print on ram "sales/discounts" will usually say must take delivery by a certain date. Ask your dealer why would you want to buy off the lot if you can order for the same deal. They might discount the one on the lot a little bit more to move it and get it off their books.
