Hi,I've got a 2007 ram 3500 with an electrical problem,it started with the charge light coming on but there was charge in the batteries so thinking its the alternator i changed that but the problem is still there,I have cleaned all the ground wires and the terminals thinking that might help but no still the same. The batteries are at 12.3 volts before starting and 13.6 when the engine is running but the charge light is still on.Now i haven't a clue as to what can be causing it.Can anybody give me a clue as to how to solve the problem.

Cheers Gaz

Hi, unfortunately I don’t have a solution for you but would request that when you do find a solution, either from this forum or elsewhere, you come back and tell us what the problem was and how you fixed it so we can learn from your efforts. Thanks.

Just to clarify, it’s not this light is it?

Yes that's the one

That’s for the electronic throttle control (ETC), not the electrical system.

Scan for codes. Clean your MAP sensor, and possible replace your batteries (12.3V is nearly dead) or at least give them a good trickle charge for a couple days and see if they recover.

Batteries are at 125 and when engine is running there both at 14.6 I've looked at the map sensor and it looks clean,so if the batteries are good how do you get the ETC light off

12.5 is still a tad low, I’d give them a good trickle charge. 12.7 is what you should see 4+ hours of rest after the last charge.
