Edge Pulsar Tire Size Change Not Taking

I installed the Edge Pulsar yesterday on my 2022 2500 and I can't get the change to take effect. All other functions are working as expected but My speedo seems to by off by +6mph @ 50mph no matter what size I program. I do have a support request in with Edge but I was wondering if anyone can tell me something I'm missing.

I tried changing my tire size either Jscan and AlphaOBD and had my dash lit up like a Christmas tree! ABS faults, 4 wheel drive inoperable, all sorts of other features (running boards, nav) stopped working.
I gave up.

If you follow the process, it works.

How are you checking speed?

With 2 seperate GPS Speedo apps that match up. I found that I have to set the tire size to 29" to get accurate speed. Is this common? My Tires are 34.8".

Can o’ worms, eh? That would be my luck, my truck does enough weird stuff without me having messed with it.
Did you get your truck back to “normal”?

Can O' worms, indeed!

I'm not good with tech to start with so I fully admit I may have been the issue, but I managed to get the seatbelt chime turned off (a big accomplishment in a 24'), fogs and high beams to stay on together, programmed a new key fob and activated the key in the vehicle security lock-out feature. I followed the process and succeeded with those, but the tire change just wouldn't work on my truck. I googled and found more than enough people having similar experiences to make me suspect there's something above simply following the process incorrectly going on. I can adjust the tire size all day long without issue, but the second I try to program it over a 34" tire, it flipped out.

With Jscan I was not able to get it to revert to factory settings. I kept getting a message saying it had, but I'd wait the adaptation period and the problems hadn't resolved. I downloaded AlphaOBD and managed to get the size back to the factory setting and no more dash lights.

Don’t feel bad, I have a buddy who is great with tech who is still having trouble after messing with his TRX and even the dealership can’t figure out what happened.
Luckily for him it’s only snafu concerning his screen, nothing that makes the truck inoperable.
He bought me some gizmo for Xmas that would dink around with TPMS and stuff..no thankee.

When checking speed with apps on your phone, you have to make sure the phone is not connected to the truck in any way- via Bluetooth or CarPlay/android auto.

Beat me to it, I asked the open ended "how" hoping to get this info. :-)

@scales76 You have to use a dedicated GPS or make sure the phone/tablet isn't connected to the truck as Jimmy correctly stated.

The fact you're having to set to 29" to get correct speed indicates you're just setting it to factory spec.

Thanks. I confirmed that when I plug in the phone to carplay the speedo changes +7 at 40mph. Its much closer when I turn of CELLULAR WIFI and BLUETOOTH with the phone unplugged. What the solution here? GPS apps are obsolete at this point with the xception of giving me the best route.

I sent the Pulsar Edge back because no matter what size i select, the speedo is -10mph at 60mph. I tried the Procal Snap and no luck with changing the tire size. I took it to the delaer and they won't flash because i used something aftermarket. I'm not sure where to go next but I'm not giving up. Ideally I'd like to get it back to stock and jsut live with it being 3mph off at 70mph.

I used JScan, but you have to follow the directions and reset static abs after the procedure. Otherwise you'll have issues. I had to figure it out the hard way. Changed the size three times in a year without further problems.

on the Pulsar after you enter the tire size and select no on the gear change then you must select PROGRAM or it will never work
