Owned my 2022 2500 Longhorn Linited for ~ 1600 miles and about 20 miles into my first long trip when a like warning bell indicating I was in echo mode sounded...had never happened prior...look on google/youtube to disable and they have me going to to sttings>display but I can't find Settings on my display to begin the disable process...want to turn this sucker off...Thx in advance

The green eco light? It shouldn’t be making any sound. If you’re dinging, you’re dinging about something else. Settings is in the radio, not accessible by the steering wheel / cluster menus.

It only disables the indicator light. It has no effect on fuel economy, performance, or cylinder deactivation.

I have had this three times now since I picked up the truck a month ago. Driving down road and very distinct chime/dinging coming from overhead speaker. No lights on dash and no notifications on phone. It’s loud as **** like alerting you to something really wrong with truck. No lights no performance issues. Weird.

Yeah Eco mode should only alert you about activation via a ECO light on the dash - no audible alert. The ECO light is also a setting you can disable in the radio. A dinging noise is something else

Go into your radio navigation settings, then sounds and alerts. Which alerts are turned on? There’s red light camera, speed, traffic alerts, and a few others. Those are what you are hearing.

Also make sure you don’t have something sitting on the passenger seat that would make the passenger seatbelt chime go off.

Is there an eco mode? I figured it was just telling you when you were sufficiently off the throttle enough for “high” MPG.

I think the computer considers them separate— MDS won’t engage unless eco is lit, but eco can light without MDS , at least I’ve found
