Dual steering damper

I have had to straighten my steering wheel before so I’m good with that adjustment. It is the one that connects to the pitman arm that I’m referring to.
Is it possible to just replace the joint piece that attaches to the pitman arm and sleeve?

If you can find one.
When I was looking for replacement parts, all I coukd find was OEM style and you had to replace the whole unit.
That's why I went to CJC and got good aftermarket set up.

Ok. So you think I need a fork on both ends to remove it? Did your replacement come with the ball joints pressed in?

I only need it at the pitman arm. All the others popped right out with a few hits of the hammer.
I've never seen a tir rod end cone disassembled. They always had the ball joint in them.

Mine, I just had to screw the ends into the tube.

Did you have to jack the truck up to free the tires from the ground or just left them on the ground during the switch?

Was easier to remove the tires to get to the joints on the knuckles. I replaced both at the same time, drag link and tie rod.
For now it’s just the drag link. I don’t have a fork and I don’t want to just hammer on the pitman arm for fear of damaging it or the joint there. So not sure how to handle that with what I have in hand.

Got the tools and a little know how.. time to get you tube certified lol. Hard to explain stuff sometimes without being in person.
