DRW wheel corrosion

So yes, I have this on my 2019 DRW Ram 3500. Is this covered under warranty? What's the fix to this besides getting new rims?

I would imagine you're past your warranty period, but as far as fixing that would require stripping the wheel down to bare metal, re-polishing then a clear coat. Or maybe have them sand blasted and powder coated?

My 2021, which has never seen road salt started doing it within a year. Since it is at the valve stem, I suspect it is galvanic corrosion. Haven't tried the warrantee since I figured it would be a waste of time.

Same **** here...3 of 4 rims bad...one dealer just yesterday said SOL. Going to pop in to selling dealer to see what they say...anyone hear if those with black rims having same issue? 2023, ~20k on her

I've been looking at some spacers between the two wheels to help allieviate this issue:

Interesting on the spacer Idea. Trying to research this a little more and found a chart (attached) showing the likelihood of bimetallic corrosion. It indicates that Aluminum to Stainless - is not too subjective to corrosion but Lead to Aluminum is. So that being said, I wonder if we could be seeing two different types of corrosion here. First at the valve stem, in an much earlier post, the bore hole for the stem would have broken to sealing factor and thus allowing water and road chemicals in resulting in some corrosion from chemical attack. Secondly where the lead weights are placed on the outer rim of the wheel might be true bimetallic corrosion.

My only real question is will this result in a catastrophic failure of the wheel?
