Driving on eggs - not sure which sub-forum to put this

By any chance were they Michelin Agilis Crossclimates? I just got rid of a set of those, worst tire I've ever owned. They would not balance and the traction was frighteningly inadequate. I did not experience the "driving on eggs" feeling but there were shimmy's and shakes that varied with speed like you mention.
Yes they are.....2 rears are getting replaced in an hour so we'll see how that works out but your experience doesn't sound encouraging.

80 psi unloaded? Absolutely not.

Drop the rears to 55 or so.. keep the fronts at 60-65 and enjoy.
Interesting - every other vehicle I've owned had loaded and unloaded pressures on the sticker - this one does not unless I'm missing it. Drove 4 of us to VA Beach and wife and I twice to NC (over 6K total) in a year - all at 60/80 and better ride than our sedan. In any case, rears are being replaced and if all goes well, 5th wheel gets hooked up tomorrow.

Rear tires replaced and no bounce. Until yesterday, those tires were on the front for their entire 6K mile life. We'll see what this next trip brings - hopeful to get some mileage out of them.

Safe travels and good luck. I put Michelins on every other vehicle I've owned without any problems, and I'm hoping my (our) experience was unique. I don't trailer much, so I went with Nitto Recons and very happy now.
