First time in this forum. First ever diesel pickup. 2020 Ram 3500 dually.
Second owner. Has 32k miles. 12k I have driven. 12 months towing fifth wheel rv
First issue. Message DPF service needed see dealer. After it went into limp mode 3 times trying to get to dealer. Dealer takes it in removes the codes. Repair 3 recalls etc. Sends me on my way. Go 60 miles back to limp mode. ( just heard about regeneration). This truck has never messaged me that it’s in Regen mode. Until I pulled over disconnected both batteries and reconnect. Started driving. Message appears Regen in progress.
Pull rv to camp and investigate more. Drove 60 more miles w/o rv. No issues or messages. Hitch up and get back on our way 30 miles back to limp mode plus the engine light is ON this time. Tried battery disconnect but failed this time.
Restarted engine and returned to camp. Dropped rv. Limp mode twice before arrival at camp. Any comments? Trying a different dealer or a recommended diesel mechanic tomorrow. Stuck in Albany GA e route to south Florida.
