Thank you, update. I took my truck to a mechan
Thank you for your reply. So.... took it back in because the gauge went to full in a day. The dealership took it in and determined that it needed a new filter etc. The filters were on back order so the time estimate was about a month. The mechanic said i should not drive it and they could keep it at the dealership. They did provide a Ram 1500 during the wait time and it ended up being about 3 weeks. They got an aftermarket part and installed. All was under warranty and Eliza (Who is lovely and gorgeous BTW) said she had to battle Dodge but prevailed. So... for the past 2 plus months everything has been good . But something is different in a good way. I kept the DPF gauge visible and it started out 0% then after regular driving it moved up to about 40%. At 40 %, the dash displayed "Automatic Exhaust System Regeneration in Process". This has now happened multiple times with no problems. I have not had any dash readouts say to keep driving. So... It seems like they have changed the system so you don't have to keep driving when you are supposed to be at an appointment at 8am. I can turn off the truck and and the next day the system will start up the regen until the gauge reads 0%. I hope this helps. Thank you.
You can "get away with it" but interrupting a regen isn't good for the long term health and well being of the DPF.
IMO, the "keep driving" was due to the interrupted regens.
