Door panels window controls

Hey guys.. i have a 2022 Tradesman.. I want to swap out my interior door panels.. found a few on EBay but they have the automatic folding mirror cut outs (they got rid of power folding mirrors in 22) so my window controls won’t fit properly.. i have a couple questions: @Jimmy07

1: if i swap in a window control unit that has power folding mirrors and secondary mirror controls will my existing harness plug into it and work? I know those features won’t work lol..

2: does anyone know if 4th gen interior door panels fit on 5th gens?


As you can see the cut out is different.. now I’m looking for a window control unit (drivers side only) i can’t pull the trigger until i know the harness will work

Crickets? I ended up getting some 4th gen Laramie panels.. need to figure out if i can get the ambient lighting to work

I did it in mine but I replaced the door modules with the mirror power fold from a limited here is the diagram ,

Why do you say that the 22 Ram did not have folding mirrors. I know my 2022 3500 Laramie came with folding mirrors.

My truck was a tradesman so no folding mirrors but she looks fancy now with 4th gen Laramie panels

Wow.. so you replaced the door modules as well.. i used my stock window switches the 4th gen ones would not work.. looking at that diagram it looks like the ambient lighting goes through the window switches with an extra plug?

Where did you get the diagram? It’s getting me closer.. if i could just tap into the courtesy lighting on my door modules i might be able to make it work

You need to find some replacement pins and the will be use in the connector 5 or E, in the door Module.

Check the configuration with Alphaobd if the setting is not there the module needs to be replaced.

That extra cutout in the front (your last picture) is for the power convex switch not the power folding switch. The power folding switch is between the left/right mirror selector switches.

All good.. i got 4th gen panels and used my 5th gen window controls easy peasy.. just want to get the ambient lighting hooked up to the courtesy lights

I don’t have AlfaOBD i have JScan.. i posted above there are some options there (it was on demo mode) here’s my door control module.. i don’t think the rear doors had a separate module (having problems with this site posting pics)
