As the tile suggest, I’m curious if I need power to the CMHSL for the digital rearview camera to work.

I picked up a used CMHSL I wanted to just plug the camera in to see if it worked and it didn’t so I wasn’t sure if I needed to feed power to it to make it work or if I have another issue

Thanks
Jeff

The Camera use a FARKA connector - so you need that cable connected at the mirror.

Thanks. That’s what I was thinking. I’ll chalk it up to the rearview mirror is defective or the Linbus thing won’t work on the 3.0 mirrors. I’ll get my hands on a mirror from a 2021 this weekend and see if it works. Thanks!!

If it’s the 3.0 mirror the cameras have to go through the video processor module under the driver’s seat.

Yep I believe it is a 3.0. Makes sense now. I picked up a 2021 mirror and the camera in the CMHSL didn’t work but I got a CMHSL from a 2021 and it worked so looks like eBay will be seeing a 3.0 mirror and CMHSL pretty soon!!
