Does anyone's 6.4L Hemi NOT have the infamous chirping noise?

I've gotten under the truck to find the source and it is from that junction. That's also what my exhaust guy said. As it warms up, the metal expands and it stops. It is kind of weird that it just stops all of a sudden.

I have a really good exhaust shop somewhat close to me, I guess if it really bothered me I’m sure they could build me a new wye pipe…. Just knowing what the issue is, that’s good enough for me.

It really does seem like a switch. It's like cold enrichment makes it chirp away but all the sudden the tone changes and the noise goes away......for the most part.

Sent from my semi-smart telephonic device

My 21 sounds aweful when I start it, sort of like a 89 Ford econoline van with a leaky exhaust. Slapped on a magnaflow to try and hide it. Once warmed up it sounds amazing. At the end of the day it’s a still badass truck so I’ve made peace with it.

220 miles on the clock and I heard it since Day 1...

Luckily nothing from the cab...

No chirp, squeal, click, tap, or knock. Engine just sounds great, except when in "eco" mode, then it sounds like it is missing, which essentially it is.

My brand new (440 miles) 2500 chirps on a cold start. Sounds like a pulley on the passenger side. I’ll take in for service next Tuesday. See what they say.

if its the noise i think you guys are talking about... i get it during cold start ups and been there since i got the truck 2 months ago. ive always assumed it was coming from the exhaust. The Charger SRT8 and Charger hellcat all have a similar noise at cold start up. The PW just seems more louder.

I had a 2500 with the 6.4l Hemi. They put MDS on it... All bad. Lifter tick on start up is lifter wear. They have oil drain down issues. Every time you hear that tick, or chirp, its metal wearing against metal. I am a mopar guy but they could care less if your engine $hits itself at 100k miles.... Wife had a Grand Cherokee with 138k on it, and the MDS lifters ate themselves.... Had a Max Care lifetime and it cost me 100.00, had I not had it, 5500.00... Hence, I bought a 3500 with a 6.7l HO. You ,might make it to 100,000 miles with the gasser.... I can make it to 1,000,000 miles with the smoker...

My work truck is 19 2500 59k no chirp no lifter tick same for my personal 3500 with 1500 miles on it.

I had a 2019 5.7L and upon start up it sounded like an exhaust manifold leaking as loud as the ticking was. I hated it. I love the growl of the 6.7L now...

Until that 6.7 starts leaking oil at the front main or the excessive emissions components take a crap.

Hemi guys … I got your back!! :P

I'm at ~5500 miles now, and my "chirping" has definitely been quieting down since purchase.

Chirping here, but only last for 1-2 minutes from what I have noticed.

Or should I expect when mine arrives from the factory in the sky sometime in Jan that it will have it too?
Mine is pretty quite at start up and after warm up - just general average engine noise. Haven't heard any chirping, etc. but have only had it a month - 2016 2500 6/4L, 37,000 miles.

Hey everyone, I need the support of other Hemi 6.4 owners. My truck developed a nasty squeal at startup around 1100 miles. A lot of owners have a similar issue and a lot of owners are told that it is "typical" of the motor and they need to deal with it. Well I'm not content with that answer. I've filed a complaint with FCA and I will be bringing my truck back to the dealer to continue to try and get this resolved. It is my belief that I paid for a truck that did not make this noise and I will not accept being forced to own a truck that does while under warranty. I have started a FB Group for Owners of 6.4 Hemis that make these noises in an attempt to get FCA's attention. I hope that is we get enough members in one place, showing enough issues with the engine that FCA will come up with a solution. Please support me by joining and posting a video of your truck making noise. https://www.facebook.com/groups/362174843233452/

Thank you!

Just watched your video on FB, but didn't hear any noise. What is it we are supposed to hear?
