Does anyone know what this is on my tailpipe?

New truck with less than 1k miles, and I just noticed this. What is it? Was the pipe damaged and patched? I have never see this before.

It's a part # tag residue its on my truck also

Looks Like the Sticker burnt off.

Wire brush and rubbing alcohol will clean you right up. Needs to be "fixed" anyway

Easiest fix, cut off that ugly resonator and replace it with a straight pipe. Sounds better and no drone. And you can reroute the pipe tucked in where it belongs.
