Do I need a bigger drop shank...

Pulled our toy hauler out of storage a few days ago to get ready for camping season, and when hooked to the new tow pig the camper appears to be completely level before adding air or putting my WD bars on, the camper did squat the coils about 2 inches which pleasantly surprised me. The camper is 38' and usually grosses a lil under 14k, it squatted my old F350 about the same. I have a Curt 14k WD setup with a 6" drop and unfortunately the head is already in the lowest position so I'm quite sure I'm going to order at least an 8" drop when I get the new 2.5" shank. It's 23" to the bottom of the receiver opening and 20" to the bottom of the campers coupler with the camper level
What do y'all think?

If the camper is level as is and you plan on using your WD hitch then yes I’d get another longer drop so you can level it again once the back of the truck sits higher

This what I went with and my airstream can be perfectly leveled.

I went with a Bulletproof set up. You can get an extended drop shank (I went with a 2.5 x 8" drop and it covers my few trailers) with their WDH adaptor that moves the wholes setup back just enough to get your tailgate open with the trailer jack being in close proximity. I hated not being able to open the tailgate without resting it on the electric tongue jack.

I keep looking at the gen y setup and I may just have to go get one, I love the idea of the torsion springs to help soften the harshness of our beautiful NYS roads lol

omg it was hands down the best investment I did! I went from MD to TX and back and it worked amazingly. If your on the fence I’d but it. See for yourself and enjoy the smooth riding.

I haven't gotten it set-up yet, but be advised, it's a beast. I think it weighs something like 91 lbs.
