So I plan on changing the front/rear diff fluid and the transfer case. Can anyone tell me what fluid type I should use.

Also does anyone know if they make gaskets for the diff covers? Don't want to use RTV if I can help it

Don't know what year truck you have, but...

Dif covers will most likely have reusable gaskets. Clean and reuse.

Transfer case is hotly contested by some. Assuming we're talking about a BW 44-46 or 44-47 tcase, you can use anything including the Mopar unicorn tears BW fluid, ATF+4, Dex VI, Dex III, TES-295, etc. Some would even say a full syn 5w-30. Personally mine is running Valvoline Multi Vehicle Import (got it cheap, viscosity is near ATF+4) and will run ATF+4 if I exhaust my supply.

The book calls for 75w-85 front and rear, but I use 75w-90 in the rear for a little more protection when towing.

I’m on my 3rd xcase getting Amsoil Signature Series ATF. It’s got the Mopar part number on the bottle and is cheaper than the OEM BW stuff.

All HD axles have had reusable gaskets since at least 2003.

I ordered amsoil 75w90 and ordered the lube locker gaskets.

Thanks for the reply

More of a want, I should have the AAM 11.5 but it doesn't line up right the gasket that is

There are two 11.5 covers.

The 03-18 11.5/11.8 and the 19+ (aside from PW’s but don’t quote me on PW stuff) 11.5/12.0.

Even though you have an 11.5 it’s the 12.0” housing on all 19+ trucks.

That’s going off your username and subforum. You should fill out your sig and post truck specs when asking questions.
