Diff covers...when too much info is bad sometimes

So looking into replacing the diff covers, stamped steel worries me. Carli has a nice front guard but however removing material from my front diff pumpkin is a no-way zone, so covers are looking the way to go. Anyone done the aev route? Whats the inside look like...ie proper channeling etc? Theres also pml but the inside seems a bit flat to me....according to a nice banks video thats a no-starter. So opinions and ideas?
 
Doesn't seem like they could hold up to a hit is all. So thinking purple cranium diff guards are the way to go. Rather than heavy duty diff covers. Undecided....yet.
 
I have not heard anyone having any issues /having to modify when installing the Carli guard. I’ve heard it’s straight bolt on
 
AEV are designed to follow exactly the shape of the stock ones. The front is designed to be used with their lift ie designed t have the front axle moved forward. I have the rear one and it is stout as all get out.
 
Do you have a power wagon? I’m assuming so.. The aev rear cover doesn’t fit 2019+ HD trucks unless it’s a PW. The banks doesn’t say it fits either and requires moving the sway bar as well. (According to their sites)

the carli is just a shield that bolts on over top of the existing factory cover. You should even be able to install it without losing any fluid.

I have read the some "grinding" may be needed for the carli, probably going purple cranium, seems it would hold up to a hit here and there....and yes I have a 2020 pw. Cost isnt a big deal...the old saying buy once, cry once. I came from building tacoma's, I know hardly a comp[arison, but the thought process is still the same, function>fashion.

Can the front one only be used with their DualSport suspension?
 
I’d call aev before assuming. Id put money on it not working without their suspension

Typically, front cover clearance issues are with the tie rod and not really anything else.

The AEV suspension changes the steering geometry by adding high steer (they also drill and tap the steering boxes for hydro assist on the trucks with 40-41”s) anyway, high steer would give you more cover clearance.

verified via help ticket as well, p/n 10404020AA and 10404021AA, for future reference, 2020 Power Wagon
 
I put the front Carli guard on my 2020 Power Wagon. Fit perfectly, no grinding required. Got a few scratches by now too, really great cheap insurance.
