I've had the Diamondback hd cover installed since i bought the truck in January and its been great. Pretty much waterproof and secure storage for my tools. I'm a solo carpenter and often have to haul long pieces of trim or deck boards, etc and wasn't very excited about the ladder rack options available from Diamondback. Also while I use the truck for work, its my daily driver and I wanted something I could use to possibly throw a RTT on top or our SUP's. Went through a few sketches and got with my nephew who is a commercial bulk tank welder and got to work. Its all 6061 aluminum and while plenty beefy, still light enough for me to lift off the panels myself. Have a few things to clean up and figure out the tiedown/L-track points before I bed liner it to match the cover.

I'm happy to ask, but honestly I'm not sure its something he'd be interested in doing. He snuck in most of the work for me on lunch breaks and after hours. I've been doing a ton of carpentry work for him so he owed me, ha. I'm sure any local fab shop with a shear and press brake could knock them out to your specs pretty quick.
