I am looking for a diagnostic scan tool that works well on our Ram trucks. Something that’s relatively easy to use, has the most useful features, and under $1000. I know there’s some ram diesel technicians out there that might have some recommendations. Merry Christmas, everyone.

No recommendations regarding a scan tool that plays nice with our trucks? I tried an Autel and a X-Tool, neither of which was suitable. Both were over a thousand dollars so while not the very top of the line, they were not basic machines either. Neither would write suspension height values (the initial reason for buying them) and many bidirectional functions were missing or didn't work.

OP failed to mention he's Apple, using JScan, and discovered a bug in JScan that it isn't writing out the values for the function.
