Delivery Time Estimates

My 3500 Longhorn Megacab SRW 6.7/68RFE just got to the dealers lot in Rapid City, SD yesterday. Here's my build times. 6 weeks order to delivery which seems to be incredibly fast. Now just need to get time to drive up and get it later this week.

How were you able to get those dates once it had shipped?
 
Just got the update that my truck is in the rail yard in Draper, UT! It got there last week on Thursday. As soon as there's room on a truck it will make the 5 hour drive to my dealer! Fingers crossed for this week!!!
 
Stewy, up thru KZ status was always a chat to the Ram support line. I had a script in a Word doc that that included everything they always ask. VIN, VON, Name, Address, etc. that I would paste into the chat. They seemed happy and information came back pretty quickly. I always asked for the 2 digit status code. They would typically came back with a descriptive answer but I wanted the code. Usually chatted once a week, Fridays.

After KZ the dealer can look up the information. After KZ I asked the dealer for a screen shot from the Rubicon VLS system they have. I asked each Friday. So only asked two times while in transit. Mexico to Denver yard then truck to Rapid City.

Jakalafus, following other hear it sounds like the DRW's are taking much longer. :(

Sounds good! Thank you for the info. Mine should be at Dennis Dillon soon then. It was supposed to arrive in Utah today so we will see.

Get ready to wait haha! It will be worth it but it is AGONIZING!! This is the first vehicle I have special ordered and it has been torture. I'm almost 8 weeks in and I am on the faster side of the times we have been seeing on here. I hope you didn't order a dually!
 
I am not cut out for ordering a new truck. The wait is brutal!
Though I am happy that today we had some action

Glad to see your's is seeing movement. I checked yesterday and mine was in D1 status for the 39th day.
 
I ordered 4/15 and still no build sheet. Was told yesterday it was in the queue awaiting build, but no date for that yet. The only savings grace is I can drive my jeep all over the mountains one more time before the end of June when I am hoping for delivery. Of course I need to sell it so I can't do as much as I used to either.

4/18/19 - F- Paint status
4/22/19 - Ram Chat said I was still in D1 (?)
4/23/19 - VIN returns an actual vehicle on the Dodge Equipment Listing page!
4/24/19 - Body Vendor per the Dealer
5/1/19 - VIN returns a window sticker on the RAM Window Sticker page!
5/2/19 - Delivered to the Railyard!
5/8/19 - In Texas per dealer
Estimated arrival to Orlando 5/15/19 (not really holding my breath on this one)

No changes here since May 8. Been in D for a little over 3-weeks now.

4/08 - Ordered
4/16 - Status BE - Issue: Towing Technology Group merged into Limited Level 1 Equip Group
4/23 - Status C
4/24 - Status D - VIN# Assigned and Firm Schedule
5/08 - Status D1 - Scheduled to be built. No idea when.

Wow.. really? That sucks....
 
Well my 2500 Delmonico Red Power Wagon has been delivered to the dealer (ordered 3.26.19), Windows tinted and waiting on me as of 5.16.19
I'm happier than Col. Sanders dancing with Mrs. Butterworth.
Now they are waiting on me to get my $$...I haven't put my order in yet to sell some Stock (Price is down a bit ), I'll get it by next weekend.

Yeah I ordered my truck which is basically the same as yours a week and a half before you and its sitting in Utah on the way to Idaho... Sorry yours is taking so long man. This whole process is painful, and feel for you
