My GVWR is 11k and Warn recommends using a winch 1.5 times your GVWR.
I personally recommend sticking with rigging quality equipment when possible, with real rated WLL and batch traceability (like Van Beest or Crosby for shackles; companies like Safe Xtract and ASR Offroad have Rope and Tree Straps (slings) that are made by rigging manufacturers and carry industry standard WLL and batch markings)Thanks and I have managed some pretty big rigging jobs over the years so I am keen on equipment and safety limits. Warn had a fairly nice kit which contains the basics:

Heavy-Duty Epic Recovery Kit – 97570
This Warn Industries Epic (TM) Winch Rigging Kit includes 18,000 pounds capacity snatch block, premium recovery strap, tree trunk protector, (2) 3/4 inch epic shackles, pair of gloves and black backpack.www.warn.com
Correct - I am planning to add a PW winch mount and was interested if anyone had successfully installed a larger winch.
