Def vs No def

If you were in the market would you buy a 10 to 12 pre def over say 13 to 14 def truck. My budget has me in this situation. I like the interior of the 13 14 but I'm hesitant of def. To many horror stories just thought I'd ask anyone that's owned both.

Nope, would rather have a DEF truck. The 10-12 don't use DEF but do use more EGR events to compensate for that which brings on more problem of it's own. 14+ have better suspension and front end components, you will get better mpgs and have a nicer interior.

Love my ‘’lightened’’ up 12. Nice enough switch gear/ interior and no pee tank.

Agree, stock for stock a DEF truck is a better investment.
