Decked or Weather Guard

I have recently aquired a 2022 2500 6.7 Cummins 6'4" Bed with the fifth wheel/gooseneck prep package and have a couple questions about toolboxes. Some generic, some brand specific.

I have narrowed it down to 2; Decked and Weather Guard, and thank you to everyone in advance for your answers.

1.) With the Fifth wheel prep package and the 6'4" bed, how much of the front pucks will be covered/unusable with a crossover toolbox? im generally worried about the bed space with the 6'4" bed

2.) In addition to the question above, will i still be able to pull a flatbed gooseneck and a gooseneck horse trailer with either box?

3.) If Decked, ive heard that the lid ends up not closing as well as the Weather Guard. is this true?

4.) How does the HDPE hold up to the aluminum in general?

5.) I like idea of Weather Guard's low profile box for more space under the toolbox, how useful is this over the standard depth?

6.) I still would like access to the rear sliding window. How much of a difference would the coverage of the rear window be for the slider and how much would the rear view mirror be compromised with either box.

7.) I do not plan on putting many tools in the box. it is mainly for extra storage for camping trips and gear and general tools for offroading trips when i tow my fiances jeep to the offroad park. Which box in general would be better for this?

I know its alot to ask but its a big investment for me and i want to choose right. Any additional points to add will be much appreciated.

I also have factory whel to wheel steps so the ladder in the Decked isnt a deal breaker for me since i can just use the steps.

I used to have the low pro. The depth below the bed was the same. The only change was above bed on mine. Which I needed to clear a fifth wheel. Maybe we’re talking different box’s. But plenty of room below for the legs of hitch.

I like the decked toolboxs a lot. I wouldn’t pull my fifth wheel with one. They are too tall. Same with any other non low pro across the bed.

I moved my chest weather guard I’ve been running in every truck since 2013. And got kind of lucky. They changed the bed enough it wouldn’t clear the wheel wells. I had to make 2” risers. This lifted it enough it’s barely above the rails ang gives me enough room to barely clear the front legs of a factory hitch up front.

Sorry I didn’t answer your specifics. But figured I’d at least give some feedback

thanks for the feedback, if i were to go decked, i would probably get a goosebox so i can tow the fifth wheel with just a gooseneck ball.

Do you have a long bed?
Edit. I see your short

The issue is the above the rail clearance. You the trailer swings over it in a short box. So you need below the rails or barely above. The decked I’ve seen stick up 6” or so. You’ll tag it with the nose of the trailer
