Dash lights dim when wipers turned on

I've noticed when I turn on my wipers my dash lights will dim after 5-10 seconds, and stay dim until the wipers are turned off. At first I didn't know what was going on because I didn't connect the two since there was the delay, but it is definitely with the wiper setting since that's the only time it happens, and they brighten back up once the wipers are off.

Anyone else notice this?

My truck is a '19 2500 CCLB big horn

There a setting called “Headlights with Wipers” and what you are noticing it the headlights kicking on and the dash lights dimming to the lower brightness from your headlights being on.

Ahhh ok thank you. I will have to look for that setting when I'm in my truck next

Also if you rotate the dash light dimming dial past the detent, you probably won't see them dim.

That is designed for allowing your truck to be visible when the wipers are on as usually when you need wipers its low visibility out. Its not an option you can turn off if you have a canadian truck it is a legal requirement
