Ive been looking around and there are so many cheap, janky goofy and or high priced dash cams. What is everyone using?

With the trucks 360 camera i believe being connected to the head unit via RCA connections, anyone make something to utilize the onboard stuff?

I live in the country but the fools in the Baltimore Washington area makes me want to have a system again. the last system i had didn't last long what so ever and being that it was 500$+ is disappointing to say the least

Following, I’ve been wanting to put one in my truck as well. I don’t drive nearly as much as some people but between commuting for work and going on trips I put 30k miles on a year and the stuff I see makes me want to protect myself and my family.

In my truck I've got the Black Vue DR750-2 channel. When I bought it I also got an external LTE module with it for free. I used that for a while but determined I didn't need it since my phone is a hot spot so removed it. I've been very happy with the performance of the 750. I had a couple of Black Vues in my previous truck and they worked well too (for the time). My brother went with the Black Vue DR970X and has been very happy with it.
I put a VIOFO two channel unit in my wife's car (don't remember the model) and haven't been overly impressed. It keeps ejecting the micro SD card then beeps continuously until I pull over, remove and reinsert the card.

That's a completely different unit. I've got no experience with those units with a seperate box that goes under the dash.
I've had mine in for 13 months now and it works a treat. I've got a very old android tablet (Galaxy Tab) that I keep in the top part of the console, plugged into the USB port so that I can easily review any saved videos.

I using a cheap one that I bought off the TikTok shop. I bought an OBD2 power cord for it off Amazon.

Now I wouldn’t mind an interface that would let me use my cameras that came with the truck.

My cheap one off amazon has been flawless and the video quality is great day and night. I have one in each vehicle its been 5 years no issues

I installed a Blackvue DR750X-2CH in my truck. It is unobtrusive, does a great job and the video quality is excellent.

We use Viofo cams and Dongar power adapter to get power from the rearview mirror.

A few people have used this one: https://fitcamx.com/collections/for-dodge-ram/products/fitcamx-dash-cam-for-ram-1500 it's self contained in the mirror pod, unless you add the rear cam.

Search fitcamx on the forum
Was going to mention that one until I saw that you beat me to it.
Price seems decent and install appears straight forward. Still on the fence for the purchase seeing as I picked up a cheap one from Amazon that is doing the trick, for now. LOL

I have multiple Viofo's. They seem fine and do what is asked of them in either 1080p or 4k.

Just installed the FITCAMX and super happy with the results, clean and factory look with no wires round the dash. Only one wire shows and its at the rear camera. Setup was a lil tough for me since I didn't read the directions, but all good now.
