Just curious on what guys are seeing for pricing lately? last time i was serious was the middle of may my buddy had me come in during the no charge diesel event. I was literally seconds away from ordering a 2024 3500 C&C laramie. Until the manager came in and said they were upto 16 months away. For me it was just too much time and un-certainty to put money down, and not exactly know what i would get for my trade in. At the time we did the numbers on the 24, they were giving me 81,000$ for my 2022 5500 laramie with 40,000KM which i thought was quite reasonable. The 3500 was 93,500$ i believe with the no charge diesel also not bad.

anyway! i never shy away from a dealership phone call, monday a dealership from about an hour away calls me asking if i wanted to "upgrade" as there was "no better time than now" which i just laughed at but as always i give them the same speech, everything is for sale, for the right price so go ahead and impress me. They build me the same truck i spec'd out in may, and somehow they get 109,700$ and i couldn't help be laugh. After some investigating and saying wtf, i was able to remove a couple "packages" they throw on hoping they can make an extra buck, but nonetheless still 107,000$. The real kicker is they come back with a 60,000$ trade in value on my 5500 which again made me chuckle, exclaiming that's all its worth now, best they can do blah blah but super pressure from them asking if we can make a deal, put the order through etc so i got red flags and obviously thanked them and passed.

have used truck values seriously gone down that much??? i cant quite fathom a 20,000$ depreciation in two months. While i still dont quite believe the trade in value, the price of new vs what i paid in 2022 is gross...... i always like to move trucks before the warranty peroid is up and while it still has some good value. But for the first time in a longgg time ive debated looking at some additional warranty to cover everything outside the 5 yr 160,000km powertrain warranty and just driving the thing for another 3 years.

i do have to say you seriously have to be on your game with most dealerships... the amount of hidden crap they try to get past you is INSANE. had the same issue with my wifes 2024 cherokee L

i hate to say it but RAM is literally pricing themselves out of existence, these prices are out of hand

RAM has a major problem with pricing and they are now losing market share because of it.

Its unfortunately made me second guess what company to go with next. Not to say there much cheaper. But i did have a friend price a 24 LTZ drw 3500 with box delete that came in about 5g less than the laramie i wanted. I just couldnt pull the trigger on the silverado because the seats sucked so bad. Other than that interior wise they knocked the ball out of the park. Bigger cab all around to
