So for a 8 foot bed, and diesel puts that much more weight on the front end. DAMN.
I can understand it being a bit more with more rake on your truck than mine because mine is almost level. But didn't think it could be that much.
I have auto level, so the rake adds minimal weight to the front. Even a standard suspension won’t add much from rake.
Mine is 1” different in normal height and dead level in alternate ride height.
Would be interesting to see if there is any difference on the scale someday.
I run 35 to 37 hot on the front and 30 to 32 hot on the rear to give me the best wear. I didn't buy a HD truck for the fuel economy.![]()
Again, hot psi isn’t the important number. Hot psi can vary way too much to utilize for proper fill. Fill it to a good stable cold psi that’s appropriate and seal with the hot pressure.
We run 40" BFGs on the race truck. Start at 27 cold. Will see anywhere from 35 to 45 hot after about 200 miles of racing offroad. All depends on the terrain and speed. That's a 6K lbs race ready truck.
That’s a lot of tire!
