Did a search but came up empty. What is the normal cranking voltage on the diesels. I am getting around 10.8 volts on a battery monitor I have installed on the passenger side battery. Batteries are over three years old and thinking I may be wanting to replace the batteries before they crap out. I did a carbon pile load test on them and they are showing good but just inside the "good" range. Happy Canada Day on Monday to all the Canucks on this forum.

I have a battery monitor installed as well and my average cranking is 9.8v(according to the app). It starts up fine, with no sign of lugging down on the batteries. I just put in two brand new platinum agm batteries after one battery suffered an internal short. Luckily, i caught it before it smoked the other battery. Since, I've also installed a 20AH LiFePo4 battery behind the rear seats with resistor to Float the Lead acid batteries at 13.3 in between drives.

Thanks. I guess my 10.8 volts is fine then. Won’t shop for batteries for a while yet.
My 19 still has the oems and they are strong still load tester shows them well in the good range. They see quite a bit of abuse with the plow but im sure 440A of alternator juice is helping with that lol.

Agree. The more time batteries stay at full charge, the longer they last. Keeping them at ful charge with all the computers in the thing is a challenge if you are not driving the truck every day. Probably the main reason for battery failures is leaving them at low charge levels most of the time. I have the dual alternators as well but didn't order them as battery savers. LOL
