Cp4 injector pump Failure

there is a gentleman on cumminsforum that is working on a disaster prevention kit for the cp4, but it's still a few months out. I'm going that direction until my cp fails, then I'll do the cp3 conversion.
You wouldn't happen to have any contact info for him would you?

I found him. He's not going forward with it anymore though.
Could he have gotten a cease and desist order? Otherwise, seems like a ”disaster prevention” kit would be a good thing.

Who knows but probably not. From what he said it seems that there just wasn't enough interest from others for his product and he also said that he doesn't have a fifth gen anymore.

I also just got word back from s and s diesel, they are not working on a disaster prevention kit for the 2019 and 2020 Rams either. Does anybody know of a company who is?

If he's not going to make the bypass, then a CP3 conversion is the only alternative. Several options out there for that.

P.S. anyone that thinks a dealer or FCA is going to put on a CP3 conversion for you is delusional at best.

I will definitly claim to be delusional at Besto_O and i don't say that to be a s.a. I love my truck but like I've stated in the past if i had known of this issue prior to ownership, i would of negotiated that the dealer install cp3 or I simply would not of bought the truck.period . not worth the stress to worry about 17,000 in damages and being with out a vehicle and the possibility of it not being covered, wich is totally my life's luck:(. I'm 99.99% sure that cp3 would of never happened, but I would of tried. I just wonder what kind of damage mine has at 7000 miles with only the use of a poor lubricater, until now that is. Seams like the cp4s that are going, seam to be at an early millage. So I would have to assume ( I know about assumption but it involves curse words, so I digress as its one of the George Carlin 7;)), that unless you have used a premium lubricant in your fuel since the very first tank full, that we all who haven't , have some degree of damage, question is how much and how long will it last. I just hope and prey that eventually a recall comes out before it inevitably implodes and wipes out the entire fuel system.

I think you will be OK Rich. Just make sure you drain the water separator. Ram sold 633,694 trucks in 2019 and took over 2nd place from Chevy. Now we don't know how many were HD trucks but I am sure a large percentage were. My belief is the odds are in favor of not getting a bad one. But knock on wood.....This is 2020 and it is messing up everything

fingers crossed for all of us, hearing all these stories in this forum alone are very disheartening to say the least. My heartfelt sympathies goes out to anybody going through the failure

I've been running a 80hp tune for 10k miles with no issues. .. 23k on the clock so far.

*nail biting emoji*

Another one bites the dust. Mine just went out on my 2019 2500 with 5600 miles. I was told by the dealer 10 days to get the parts.
Can you tell us what happened and how, whenever you relax and get around to it, is everybody ok
