Converting from Chrome to Night Edition

Wow looking good! What lightbar is that, how does it mount and how brite is it? Looking for a cheaper option than baja onx6
It's an 19" Amazon special, but it's bright and well built. When I trimmed the plastic to mount it, I was able to use the existing holes under the plastic trim. I will be upgrading to a 24" version soon to make it look better (was originally going to install the 19' bar on bottom portion between park sensors)

Rattle can from Autozone. Cam out pretty good. I also did the lettering on the hood too. Got my mirrors done too.

Did you paint the 2500 emblems or purchase those? I plasti dipped mine and just taped off the Heavy Duty red letters. Just curious how you did yours as it looks a LOT better than mine haha.

I disassembled them and painted the lettering then super glued it back together. They were black emblems already.

Anyone figure out the part numbers for the limited headlights?

I have a black bumper available that came off my 2019 Laramie Midnight Edition. I replaced it with an AEV bumper.

@DarkNight where are you located?
Just south of Nashville TN. If you would like it I may be able to arrange to drive and meet you somewhere. I travel a lot for work so I would have to schedule it out a little ways.

Changed out the badges and made a "night edition" Tradesman. Running on Method 305 NV HD wheels in matte black. Didn't change out the lights and likely won't, but I can live with it.
Because you got the most basic truck you can buy and you changed some badges does not make it a night edition.... thats like taking some brown leather seatcovers and saying you made your truck a longhorn....

So exactly what makes any Ram a "night edition", black badges and some smoke in the lights. ALL Ram trucks are "basic" and then FCA adds features/upgrades. So yes, even a basic truck can be upgraded as it has the same body, engines, chassis. My preference was to buy a basic truck to transport 6 people. Didn't need the ice chest size center console as I don't carry tons of useless crap. Had a blank slate to work with and yes, I did spend over 10K in mods in addition to the upgrades I already paid at purchase time. Why would I buy a truck at 60k or 70k and toss 10k of the upgrades and then spend another 10k to get what I want, not what FCA says I should have.

First off the night edition does not have matte black bumpers and grill they are color matched with black lettering, night edition does not have the bright headlights and tail lights

Im not saying you need a fancy truck hell i have the tradesman lvl2 but you cant say you converted your truck to the night edition when you only have the badges from one... that being said i actually like the way yours is with the black front end better than the color matched the night edition would have....

To be fair mike said he made a "night edition", which is in quotes pointing to the fact that it's not really a night edition.

Following up on this, who cares? I've seen a lot of guys do the night edition swap, with every part except the wheels. So then it's technically not a night edition. Again, who cares?

Mike, I like the look quite a bit. Still jealous of that tradesman grille. I think you should keep an eye out for some LED night edition headlights. Not only do they look dope but they are pretty solid for light output.

That looks great! I’m kinda digging the matte black theme there.

Just to confirm for the non camera grille you would need all three
Grille: 68443251aa
Grille Inserts: 6nb35tzzab
Ram letters: 68358570aa

I just received the parts above but I believe Grille:68443251AA is for the mounted camera because the grille inserts fit but the Ram letters 68358570aa do not fit on this grille.

Can anyone confirm the part number for the night edition grille without the camera.

On that tradesman grill, what did you do to make the RAM letters, and the chrome "brackets" either side the ram letters, black?

Did my tradesman the cheap way.

Bought the night edition head and tail lights and painted or dipped everything else

I have had my 22 3500 limited night edition for a few days now and I think I want to add the limited door trim and get it blacked out to match. Anyone seen this done?

I screwed up and a little pissed.

I bought the truck last may from a dealer in Bama. I’m in Florida but got the 3500 Laramie I wanted for 72k out the door. Chose no night package but the option for the bumper painted to match.

Well didn’t realize the chrome area around the grill and for some dumb **** reason dodge sent a black interior/gunmetal exterior truck to me with a tan ****ing interior roof. How in the hell is that even an option? Even the salesman didn’t know that was going to come like that.
