My 2022 is regenning every 250 miles. I drive nothing but highways and interstates. My Shortest trip is about 20 min run. Brought truck to dealer and they state without a code everything is fine. I’m burning about 2.5 gallons of DEF about every 2 weeks. Anyone else with this problem? I have changed the fuel filters religiously and buy good fuel.

I have noticed that the 22s with the HO tend to be setup to burn the Def. Before this issue was cured on mine the first 4k miles I used 5 gallons working on the third fill up.

Just to be sure you’re tacking, DEF and regen have nothing to do with each other. They are two independent emissions systems.

How much do you idle?

If you keep regening at that rate you’ll likely throw code and then have something they can work on.

Sounds like you’re tracking miles between regens, I’d suggest tracking hours too.

How are folks tracking? Just keeping the DPF screen up? I haven’t bothered even watching, everytime I look at the DPF screen it’s at zero so I think it’s doing it’s job :-)

The DPF screen, hours since last regen, and my CTS3 are what I use to know when a regen is going on. Mostly hours since regen since I’ve only ever had one regen earlier than the 24 hour cycle.

I started noticing when my MPG went to ****.

Just left the dealership, they can’t find anything nothing wrong. If it was Regen Ning to frequent it would throw a code. I asked what would that parameters be? They said it’s not known.

What does the DPF gauge show in between regens?

Once again, some owners have found boost/intake leaks causing excess regens if it's not needing a PCM flash.

It jumps in increments, and regens when it hits around 50%

Had been using Napa but recently switched to a Mopar

There has been some serious confusion lately on the proper filter for 19+ trucks, and excessive regens are a potential issue.

It needs to be the 53034051AB

I might be seeing a slight increase in regens since the new fuel pump recall software. The DPF gauge in the truck evic has never been a true status as to what's going on, so I use the Sanguage II to monitor the DPF activity. I'm not technical enough to monitor all the various activities the higher priced monitors can cover, so I bought the Scangauge II ($160) because it was compact and didn't take up much space. I used it in my EcoDiesel first for the same reason, now my 19 Ram Cummins and monitor DPF % level, regen on off, and time since last active regen.
