constant power on sources

But I'm looking for key on power source...every 12V (only one), USB and type C connection is constant power on? Can that be right?
 
Funny you posted this. Last weekend, I spent about 5 hours putting in my dashcam that should have taken 10 minutes. What took me so long was finding a switched power source. Every USB port that I tried would stay powered on if there was a draw on it. What I finally used was the 120V power plug in the bottom of the console. That was the only one in the front console area that I could find that was switched off with the key. I just grabbed a USB charger and plugged it in.

How did you get a male 120 V plug on the end of the dash cam?
