Compatible aftermarket TPMS sensors?

This is an older post, but it's the closest to my question I could find. I have a set of 2020 2500 laramie wheels with TPMS sensors with winter tires. I have a 2024 3500 laramie on order. I know that the 3500's have TPIS. So if I mount my TPMS wheels on the TPIS truck this winter will they work? I don't care which way they work (TPMS/TPIS) as long as they work. Thank you!

Sensors don't matter as long as they're coded for Mopar vehicles.

The truck is set for either TPMS or TPIS or none. Many 3500 have changed their truck to TPMS and many 2500 owners have changed to TPIS without changing wheel sensors.

Thank you. They are Mopar OE sensors, so hopefully they'll work on the new truck.

just to share my experience, i have a 2020 3500 drw, i installed aftermarket wheels that already had autel aftermarket dual band sensors installed. when i installed i drove about 1k miles, the sensors never registered with the truck. I scanned them all to make sure they were working and noted the id numbers for each wheel. I then took my alphaobd and manually registered each id to the location on the truck. after that they all worked. A year later I decided to swap out my wheels for some new wheels, this time i ordered a full set of 6 new tpis sensors genuine mopar. (actually cheaper than the autels) when installed they instantly connected to the truck no programming necessary.

I just had new wheels and tires, bought a set of Schrader 33560 from Amazon and DID NOT worked at all, not 1.
Went to Discount Tire and they installed a new ones, same part number and they programmed all
Now everything is working fine.

@Brutal_HO Sorry to re-revive an old thread, but it's very relevant.

I have a 2022 2500 and my OE sensors (part number 68378369AF, TRW brand) have IDs like F01110F0. I bought a set of wheels from a late 2024 2500 with sensors installed. They're a different part number (68591551AB) and are made by Schrader and have IDs like 5503F4B8. With my TPMS tool, I can't trigger the new ones if I select my 2022 (433MHz TRW), but can if I select a 2025 model (which shows 433MHz Schrader). The tire shop's Autel TPMS unit shows a 11/2024-2025 option for the 2500 which lists Schrader instead of TRW, and the new sensors will only trigger if they choose the Schrader option. My truck has the new IDs programmed into the ECU, but it refuses to recognize them at all.

Based on your comment of "coded in a range supported by the truck" I'm wondering if the new ones won't work because their IDs are so different from the original ones? I can't find anything in JScan that would let me tweak the range allowed or anything like that. I've got new Mopar ones coming that are the exact part number for my truck, which I hope will work after programming. The guys at the parts counter say the new ones won't work with my truck because the parts system doesn't list that part number, but if I give them the VIN from the donor truck, it says the part number is the same as my truck. This is why I have trust issues!

Any comments/thoughts?

I guess I've been lucky that I have never had any problems with any of the sensor the tire stores has use
The ones the non-dealer tire shops install are generally generic ones that can clone the behavior and ID of the factory ones. When this works, it seems to work well, but it doesn't always. The sensors I'm using are OEM Mopar sensors, so they are what they are - no cloning and no reprogramming.

Just to close the loop here for posterity, I got the new 68378369AF TRW-branded sensors, put them into the tires and programmed the vehicle to use them. Barely got out of the driveway before they popped up and the vehicle was happy. I dunno why the Schrader ones didn't work, unless there was indeed some "valid ID range" issue going on.
