Compass has stopped working

Anyone have issues with the compass? 1100 miles on my truck and it hasn't worked for atleast the last ~100 or so miles. Anything I can do to reset it?

funny you mention this because I’m having an issue on one of my cars. I connect my iphone and try to use google or apple maps and the coordinates are completely whacked out. If I disconnect, it works fine. My wife’s iphone does the same. It’s making me think the GPS in the vehicle is a lot more integrated than just being a convenience system.

it should recalibrate on its own. I’ve had to reset my truck before and I had no compass until I drove around a bit, it needs to calibrate off the mag field

I could not find a reset procedure anywhere. After 200 miles it is now working again.

Yep, Tuesday my compass went away. Started it Wed. and it was back. Figured my truck just lots it's way temporarily.

Sounds crazy, I have found if you start the truck and the radio is off the compass won't read.
Turn the radio on and wait about 10 seconds and it works. I don't think it is normal but I will find out. Also
if I receive a call with the radio off the bluetooth wont connect. If I turn the radio on and back off the bluetooth works.
Obviously if the radio is on both work. I had a 2019 Gen 5 1500 and the compass and bluetooth worked with the radio off.

This happened to me once shortly after purchase. Called the dealer and service department as clueless. Asked me to bring it in and leave it with them 2-3 hours. Called Uconnect - also useless.

Pushed the Power and Tuning knobs simultaneously for 10 seconds until the Uconnect 5 unit reset and voila! Compass was fixed.

I had the same issue. Service wanted me to make an appointment and leave it. I used your method and all fixed.
