I guess the photo of the 2 shifters in plastic is what confused me - he said they were identical and quoted my post- we werent talking about the same thing LOL

Sorry for the confusion! Yeah, what I meant was that the size of them was identical, so I'm confident ordering that part number will work, just with the leather wrapping for the handle. I'm planning on ordering one up next week. Also, the install of it doesnt look hard at all. From my one pic, it looks like the bolt holding it in is a Torx type screw.
Also, I reached out to Stitchboots.com and Kaitlin there said she can make custom column shifter boots. So I may spring for a custom one as well with maybe some colored stitching since I have the column shifter off.
