Mine is coming in today, too. Expect I'll see same issue.
I told them they could sacrifice the OEM one I sent them to get the fit right on the mounting ring.How is the fit around the shift handle?
If it was built based off of part number 68400287AA, then the base will be too small. I swapped the interior of a 2020 limited into my 2017. My 2017 came with part number 68400287AA, so when I installed the 2020 interior steering column shrouds, the hole was too big, and different shaped for my 2017 shift boot to fit into the shrouds. This is my original 2017 shifter:

I have since sold the 2020 shifter to be able to get measurements on.

Do you simply pick the design you want then put your make and model in the comments? I searched the site and did not see anything specific for RAM HD?

Seems 2019 and 2020 are an anomaly. @brv10 may know what happened in those 2 odd years and why they went back in 2021.
My first thought is possibly because of the very issue people are complaining about. My 2017 shift boot doesn’t exhibit any of these issues, and is a very different material than the 2020 shift boot. It’s more of a real rubber feel, where the 2020 rubber I could roll material off of it with my fingers. But, apparently 2021+ owners, who should have the same part as the pre-2019s, seem to be having issues, so I’m not sure…See my post?

It seems like that should fit just fine... I didn't dive into the swap because it was obviously futile and wanted to be able to return the new one untouchedMine is coming in today, too. Expect I'll see same issue.

Looks like it has enough to glue onto the trim ring after cutting off factory boot. I have not gone out to the truck to see how shifter goes thru factory boot to gauge how it’ll work.

Odd. The website says for 2021 Limited. Guess the cut over wasn’t as cut and dry as 2020/2021.

Of what you got that did not fit? Would of thought it would be interesting for everyone to see what she came up with after a first go at it even if it does not fit exactly yet.

I would have thought 2021 would be the same as 2022. Looks like she needs to make two styles then. Flattish style which is what the sample was I sent her and what my 2022 Laramie has, then the other with the small curve which is maybe 2019, 2020, and 2021
It’s not only the more defined curve, the 68400287AA part is a trapezoid shape vs the one with the curve being a rectangle:

I’ll check out tomorrow what my truck has. From what I recall, my boot’s rubber looks more like the rectangular one so I might have a fitment issue too and the online parts houses have incorrect info about correct replacement part.

Did some digging on techauthority’s parts catalog, and I don’t believe anyone with a 2019+ has a 68400287AA installed on their truck. The generic online mopar fitment years are incorrect.
2020 is the only year they offer a replacement part number for the boot on the parts diagram, and it’s 68480815AA. The other 2019+ years, the boot is grayed out with a note that it is only serviced with the shifter. All 2019+ use the same shifter part numbers.
