Cold Starts

-35 WTH, it is high of 70 and a low of 35 here in the old pueblo.

supposed to be single digits down here in central texas mon and tues night. that unheard of here. windchill in the negatives. gonna have to gather the cows up!

Fired right up when I jumped it with my wife's little jeep. Strange that it didn't give any traditional signs of a low battery. Must just not even try to turn over below a certain voltage.

Unless you left something on the bats should be fine

Turn the cruise on hit the negative and the idle will go up then hit the ebrake and you should here a change in sound.. watch your temp it will go up noticeably quicker with the ebrake on.. my 18 and now my 21 both work that way.. its. In the owners manual..

It will do all of that on its own if its cold enough..... my 19 heats up really fast but i miss my old 24v it didnt have an engine break but it would drop 3cyl and high idle but would heat up fast and sound pretty great doing it lol

Maybe I need to read the owners manual again..I've been doing it manually since I got it..the new one seems to heat up faster then my 18.. my 99 and 03 seemed to take forever to heat up but they didn't have heated seats and steering wheel either..

How long, what engine temp, or whatever ?? will the variable turbo or exhaust brake stay closed WHEN DRIVING after a cold start? This new truck sure feels/sounds to have the exhaust brake engaged for a bit while driving after a cold start.
