Anyone who has installed the CJC/BD light bar kit, can you tell me are the brackets visible at all once installed? They appear to made of aluminum, and they come unpainted. If they are visible in any way, I will spray them black. If not, I wont worry about it.

Thanks in advance!

I have the ijdmtoy 20" light bar kit with stainless brackets and you can see them when installed. I have to remove them and paint them black one of theses days..

Thanks for the reply. I am going to spray them today and hopefully install everything this weekend.

I was unable to locate these brackets as well, every link I found showed them as unavailable.

This is the kit I used.. It says unavailable right now. When I first looked it wasn't available and then I kept checking then it was back in stock.

For some reason I’m always doing lighting mods on the coldest days. BUT…it is done! Excited to really test the light bar this weekend. Headed to Superior WI, and then the cabin. Lots of miles of dark desolate roads. Main reason I bought the bar is for trips to the cabin and the dark roads the last 100 miles or so.

relbus- truck looks awesome. 2 questions:

what size nitto RGs/wheel/level(?)?

does cjc package come with a switch you mount in the cab somewhere? i dont have aux switches on my truck and dont really need an 8 switch s pod type controller. just want one switch somewhere.

Thanks! Thuren 2" level kit. 35x12.50 20 Ridge Graps on Method 20x9 +18 Method NV's.
Yes, The CJC kit comes with a complete wiring harness so you can add the light bar to a truck that does not come with the aux switches. I just cut the harness right before the relay and wired right to the aux switch.

Leave us some feedback on what you think of the light, especially if you have experience with anything else you can compare it to. Been looking at the 30" bar for my 4th gen but having a hard time believing it is that much brighter then my cheap bar to justify 10x the price? I have some Baja squadron pros already and they are good, but not that good (for the price) in my opinion. It's nota "Oh wow" difference

.

Will do. I had a 30” curved on my 4th gen. I can’t remember the brand offhand, it had good reviews from other members on cumminsforum. Cost about $250. It did not age well, after 100k the lens was hazy and the reflector inside looked all pitted. It was still quite bright even then. Just looked crummy.

Where do you have your squadrons mounted? I ordered the CJC fog kit but in SAE variety and white. Just not a fan of the amber look.

I have the squadrons mounted in the fog light area. I have a dual mount like in your picture, one is a Squadron Pro white spot and the other is the amber sport combo pattern for the fogs. We can get a fair amount of fog here in the early mornings and the amber really helps cut through that vs. the white which reflects off it. And I have the white spots tied to a separate switch (and the high beams) for night driving along with the amazon led bar.

Any pics? Sounds badass.

Just got to the cabin, the light bar is amazing! Very happy with the performance.

For the money, I expect this to last the life of the truck..and I see no reason why it shouldn’t.
