Hey all, I'm in the process if trading in my ram 1500 and Srt challenger for a 75th Power Wagon. I just moved to WNY, so the challenger won't be getting the love it deserves. I started to gain interest in Power wagons when I started doing research for my new car, and came across an anvil 75th and knew it was the right truck. I was able to find one local that just arrived, and I should be taking delivery this week! I'll miss my challenger, but im looking forward to owning this beast of a truck!

True. But the word practical is a word I seldom use with my trucks. I probably should have waited a few months and ordered a TRX.

Hope you enjoy your new ride Moondawg!!

Saw a TRX on a parked car carrier a few miles from my house this weekend. Don't know the color, kinda a muted gray, it looked really good. For some reason it had a golf cart in the bed which seemed strange.

Depending on where you're at in life, I think you'll be fine. I'm not really that old at all, but I've actually grown to dislike driving fast cars on my daily commutes. I had a 2018 Charger Scat Pack, and now have a 2011 M3 that's fully stripped out, caged, and is really just a street legal race car at this point. I find myself more prone to "highway anxiety" where I just want to go fast and weave through traffic. I had a 1998 2nd Gen 24V Cummins and between that and the Jeep, I really enjoy driving "slow" vehicles on the highway. I just ease into the seat more and relax, I'll get there when I get there. Plus, these days, I don't like getting pulled over.

The M3 is there if I ever get the need for speed, but to be honest, I could sell it and wouldn't miss it on a daily basis. I would miss it when it came time to go to the road courses though.

Good luck with your change! I'm sure you'll find the 6.4 Hemi in the truck to be sufficient to satisfy your ears and maybe your butt dyno as well from time to time.

Not being able to drive the challenger half of the year was the main factor of me getting rid of it. I dont ever drive fast anymore anyways. And I did consider a trx, but the pw seemed like the more reasonable choice to me.

Similar situation here. Although I had to give up my SRT Challenger last year for similar reasons to yours. I briefly considered the TRX but could not convince myself to pay that price tag. But I had always wanted a Power Wagon so I have no regrets.

Funnily enough, though; I finally got to see and sit in a TRX yesterday. A black one arrived on the same transport that delivered my Power Wagon and let me tell you that thing is mean and sexy.

Ya I think ill be better off, if I never sit inside one. Honestly though the Anvil 75th has everything I could want in a truck, besides the 360 cameras.

I looked at the price of the TRX and backed away. Once I built it to where I would want it it was $$$. Although once I add in the cost of wheels, tires, and Carli Suspension for my 2500 it is pretty much a wash. LOL

I also don't feel as crazy, knowing someone else got rid of an SRT for the truck.

Yeah, the TRX costs as much as a 3500 Limited Longhorn (ask me how I know) but isn't nearly as capable, unless your definition of "capable" is solely how fast it moves in a straight line on any terrain.

The mood was really killed for me when Dodge started releasing the Hellcat/SRT/Scat Pack appearance package on literally every trim for the Charger and Challenger. I LOVED the way the Charger looked when I first bought it, now it just looks plain since all the V6 chargers are driving around and basically look the same except for the wheels.

I agree

Exactly! I was also upset when Sublime green was available again on both the challenger and charger.

True. The exclusivity was certainly a part of the love affair.

Yeah, I understand their decision from a sales volume stand point, but it really cheapens the experience for the enthusiast.
