has anyone ever had any problems with there carli 3.25 pintop kit? I had a dealership install my carli 3.25 pintop kit. The problem I'm having is when hitting those water drainways in random parking lots or similar dips, potholes on the roads, im getting a metal to metal hitting. This kit is really smooth and soaks everything up that has upwards bumps. But when hitting something that goes downwards like those water drain ways, something is hitting metal to metal. At least that's what it feels like. I thought maybe my wheels were loose. They were not. I checked to make sure the top steering stabilizer wasn't hitting. It was not. I called carli and asked for their input. They told me to torque everything down and make sure the wobble stopper is on the back side of the Trac bar. So I rechecked and torqued everything down and the wobble stopper was in the right place. And it's still doing the same thing. It's only on those downward dip and potholes. It's not making a loud noise of metal hitting. But definitely can feel something hitting almost like metal to metal slipping against each other. Has anyone had any issues like this? And what was the fix. Thank you in advance.

Tighten the top stem bolt a couple more turns on the front shock. Usually a clanging type noise up front after new install is the upper nut on the shock is not compressed down enough with some play with the bushing.

After talking with carli. They told me the same thing. I tightened it up yesterday to were the bushing were starting to compress a little. And it was still getting the clunk feeling. Maybe needs to be tightened more?

Do you have a 4x4 shop that can look at it and verify the install was correct? I remember watching a video on YouTube where they were showing a Carli install that some shop had done incorrectly so apparently it can happen.

edit:

I'm taking it back to the dealer tomorrow so they can check it out. I think I found the problem. The bolt that's inside the drop bracket looks likes its moving around. My torque bar only goes up to 250 and it's supposed to be at 280 according to carli. So hopefully tomorrow they can torque that down and fixes the problem. Ill update tomorrow. Thank you 1000012050.jpg

I would put a wrench on all the bolts and try to torque by hand, to find out which one is loose. If you get that bolt to 250 and spec is 280 I doubt that it will make that noise.
