Can't get trailer TPMS to Sync

We have tried several times to get trailer tire monitors to sync but it always gets to number 3 and times out? This is a rear tire on the trailer, does it help to reposition the truck closer?
Looking for suggestions?

In one of the other TTPMS threads some have had success getting the truck closer to the tires.
You’ll have to read a lot of posts but it’s there.
Good luck. I’m going to pair mine in a week or so and hope it all syncs.

I don't know why it worked, could very well be a fluke... but I was having issues connecting mine on a 40 foot bumper pull, it would time out on #3. I connected the 7 way pig tail and turned the truck on and it synced right up. I installed the system myself. This thread has a ton of info.

Synced my 4 tonight 1st try on a 32’ bumper pull. Hitch hooked up, 7 way power plugged in and truck running.
