Got some new tires for my 2020 tradesman hemi, and I want to adjust the TPMS with my Alfa. I got it to work on my 2019 a year and a half ago, but I cannot seem to get it connected now. I have the updated app for my Android device, the bypass cable is installed (although I am wondering if I plugged the wires into the correct blocks), and BAFX OBDII scan tool that I used for my 2019.

Every time I try to connect to the BCM, it just keeps timing out, failing after attempt 4. All the info I have already found says I am doing it right, but apparently I'm not.

Start by unplugging the bypass cable and see if you can connect to the OBD with Alfa, Torque, or another generic reader app.

The cable is only needed to write changes.

Double check the bypass wires and make sure they are in the correct ones.
Second time I connected mine, I got them backwards, and nothing worked.

I looked at the instructions for KAOdtech bypass and the colors in there didn't match up to what I had... didn't make sense. I may have them backwards, but I can't even remove the cables from the blocks!!!

The clip edge pointed to in pink needs to be pushed towards the connector head with a small pick or flatblade (red). Best I could do on the fly.

I trimmed the sharp edge off mine, some just cut it off completely.

There is a BLACK base and WHITE base.

The WHITE/Green goes into the WHITE base. The Blue/Yellow into the Black base.

My able actually had a black band and a white band on the heat shrink on the cables to show which ones they were.
Black block was towards the rear of the truck, white towards the front.
